Kohler “Mayflower,” 1959

The “angle” tub, which had a square footprint and would fit in a corner or in the space previously occupied by a stall shower, became popular in the early 1950s. The countertop in this bathroom from 1959 was surfaced with a grid of ceramic tile; the tub surround was lined with faux tiles of styrene plastic.
