Crane “Diana”
Lavatory, 1950
The Diana, in
vitreous china, echoed the award-winning
(and more expensive) Criterion. The widely spaced controls for hot and
cold were a more luxurious alternative to cheaper
integrated mixing units that had the handles on the
same fixture as the faucet. Decades after
single-control mixers entered the mainstream,
separate valve handles are popular again. This unit
had concealed soap holders recessed at the front of
the basin. |
